The sixth edition of the Culture Summit Abu Dhabi, held from 3rd to 5th March 2024, was themed “A Matter of Time.” It ttracted participants from over 90 countries, emphasizing its international reach and impact. Diverse voices converged to explore the evolving relationship between culture and time as well as the role of Culture in Sustainable Development. The summit provided a platform to discuss strategies for integrating culture into broader societal goals. It also facilitated robust knowledge exchange, debates, and policy formulation. Collaborating with global partners such as UNESCO, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, Economist Impact, Google, and the Design Museum, the summit addressed pressing cultural challenges. Panels and conferences covered various themes such as historical contexts that allow us to make sense of contemporary issues; Diversity and inclusion in the cultural industry; and culture’s role in fostering social cohesion and responsibility.
The summit also explored the complex relations between Art, Heritage, and Technology and the various ways technology could enhance cultural preservation and dissemination.
